Items you’ll need to supply:
- Glass
- Glass cleaner
Items included in hardware:
Plastic Windshield Tool (aka dog bone)
Start with the outside of the windshield facing you (hole closest to the edge on the right)
Next install the glass seal, you’ll need to put it on the windshield frame as shown, with lock strip facing out. (Note the narrow groove goes on the windshield frame, and the wider groove goes towards the glass.
Make sure to pull the corners as tight to the frame as possible. As shown below, leave about ¾”-1” extra after glass seal is around the windshield, and force the ends together
-
This will keep the rubber seal from shrinking and making a gap where the ends meet up. If the seal wrinkles a little don’t worry it will work out in the next step.
-
To put the glass in, spray the seal and glass with glass cleaner. This will make it easier to slide into place. Start with sliding glass into one bottom corner.
-
Take the supplied dog bone and slide it along the seal to spread it open and drop the glass into place. (we suggest you work from bottom corner, to bottom corner, then up the sides, and along the top)

- To close the seal, spray glass cleaner around the lock strip then fold it over to lock it in the groove. take the dog bone and push the outer part of the seal, under the seal closest to the glass. (Hold the dog bone at a slight angle with the lock strip started and pull, it will fold in.)
Or option two you can use a lock strip tool.
