DISCONNECT BATTERY BEFORE YOU BEGIN.

  • Remove the grille
  • Use a yard stick or straight edge and line it up to the wheel curve and mark a line to the top
  • Mark a straight line from the core support and follow it around the curve
  • Cut along this line.
  • Mark 1 ¾” down from the top of the fender
  • Remove as shown below
  • Mark the bottom edge of the fender flare and cut off remaining flare
  • Fit the side plate flush with the top fender, use some temporary zip screws and bolt on
the side of the fender. (You will need to drill ¼” holes using the side and top plates as a
template when you complete the final mounting step.)
  • Take the top plate and line it up on the edge showed and tack the top plate to the side plate
  • Attach the tear drop to the top bolt. Leave it loose so you can adjust it with the fender tube
  • Secure the top plate so you can weld the tube on, you will want to weld it so it its flush
across the top with a straightedge. So instead of having the top plate sit at center you
would want it sitting slightly inbound (green arrow) and can finish the weld where the
    purple triangle is.
  • Bend the back side of the top plate around the fender tube. Hold it in place and tack
  • Now you’re ready to finish weld the fenders and prep to paint
